“注生娘娘”是道教中最受尊奉的生育女神。
每年农历三月二十日系注生娘娘的圣诞（2024年4月28日，星期日）。注生娘娘负责记录新生儿的出生，并掌管孕育、分娩、母婴保护等事宜，是许多不孕妇女或怀孕妇女的信仰寄托。她左手执簿本，右手持笔，象征其记录家家户户子嗣之事。她还有12位女从神，负责保护和照顾诸子嗣直至青少年（12至15岁）。
有德之人定有子嗣之福。注生娘娘的圣诞日，是济度众生，包括超度堕胎和流产婴灵，并积累善缘的好机会。
The Goddess of Childbirth or Zhu Sheng Niang Niang is the most worshipped fertility goddess in Taoism.
Her sacred birthday is on the 20th day of the 3rd lunar month (28th April, Sunday, 2024). She is responsible for registering the birth of newborns, in charge of pregnancy, infant delivery, mother and child protection. She is also the idol of faith for many infertile or pregnant women. Zhu Sheng Niang Niang holds a book in her left hand and a pen in her right, symbolising her role in recording the births of children in each household. She also has 12 goddess assistants to protect and care for the children until their teenage years (12 to 15 years old).
People with merits are blessed with children. It is an especially good opportunity on her sacred birthday to help all beings, including the spirits of aborted babies and miscarriages , and to accumulate good karma.
